Care for Peace honors Dr. Tin Mar Aung at California Event!

The Care for Peace Nonprofit Board and select Advisors held an honorary fête for Dr. Tin Mar Aung, Chairperson of the Dr. Saw Mra Aung Foundation, Special Adivsor to H.E. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and Special Advisor to Care for Peace. 

The event was held at the Spinnaker Restaurant in Sausalito, California on May 17, 2016.  The Singers Marin children sang the Care for Peace Song that was written by Jeff Hardy so that the children in Pantawpyin Village (West) could learn how to sing the song

Care for Peace transfers ownership of the newly-replaced Rural Health Center in Pantawpyin Village (West) to Union Ministry of Health!

On June 2, 2016 U Hla Kyi, Founder of Care for Peace - Myanmar and Regional ​D​irector, and Jeff Hardy, Founder and President of C4P International were honored to present the completed Rural Health Center to the Ministry of ​​Heal​​t​h​​, Myanmar​​​​.  They were accompanied by representatives from the People's Health Foundation, the Rakhine Thahaya Association,​ Kyaukphyu District ​Medical ​officer​, and Kyauk Phyu Community leader​.

Care for Peace Hires Country Administrative Director and Opens Office in Yangon!

As of September 1, 2016 the Nonprofit Care for Peace Board is honored to announce that U Toe Ba Shan has been approved as the first Myanmar Country Administrative Director.  U Toe will oversee business development, government relations, partner relations and legal compliance.

Dr. Chan is Professor Emeritus of Orthopaedic Surgery, and former Division Head, Spine Surgery, The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Virginia Health System.  In 1971 Dr. Chan was a Scoliosis Research Society Traveling Fellow at Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital and University of Rochester Medical Center.  As an Academic Surgeon he has taught Orthopaedic Surgery and is active in Spine Societies.  He is also a Past President of the Scoliosis Research Society.

The Village-Based Care for Peace Telecom / Televideo Platform

The Care for Peace Telecom / Televideo Platform will be initially utilized health training, education and  real-time consultation with doctors, nurses and midwives, among other C4P Clinic and Van staff.  Community health education will be expanded to interactive general health prevention training for groups of patients, Women and Children, HIV/AIDS, among others. 

The Telecom / Televideo Platform will also be utilized for interactive communications, education, training and real-time consultation in other areas of community interest including: agriculture and aquaculture; entrepreneural business development and support; general community meetings; inter-community meetings; Union Ministry meetings, among others.
